a month agoThe best falafel sandwich in the city!! I definitely will be coming back for more. The free pickled veggie bar was an added bonus! The owner and staff were super friendly and inviting. I came in during lunchtime and there was a line starting to form so definitely a reputable spot! If you haven't been here you should definitely check them out! Delicious food!

2 months agoAmazing food. Cool music. Very nice folks making the food. Definitley got my money's worth. Reminds me of Maoz back in the day but better. Got the mama platter. Falafels are great. Late and eggplant were good but go for the falafel and sabich.

3 months agoGrabbed an eggplant sandwich and brought it home. delicious! I will be returning for another. Also, they have fried long hots as a free topping. No Italian hoagie shop will just give you them on an eggplant parm --and half the shops outside of and even in South Philly don't have them, for shame-- but these angels have them for free!!!! Zero crumbs left

a year agoAbsolutely delicious! One of the best falafels I’ve had - crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Everything was super fresh, from the pita to the salads and tahini. The portions were generous, and the staff was really friendly and welcoming. If you’re a fan of authentic, satisfying street food, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

a year agoThis place was highly recommended by some Israeli friends and, wow, did it deliver. Best falafel that I’ve had so far in the area! Their falafel is made fresh to order and is the perfect texture. It’s a million times better than Goldie, whose falafel I find to be too dense, mealy, salty, and not as fresh.

a year agoThis new Mama’s shop has no relation to the old one that closed down in 2019. The old Mama was a legendary spot that I had been reminiscing for years. So when I heard the new Mama’s was opening under a different owner, I decided to try it. I was honestly blown away! The flavors are amazing and I find them so similar to the old Mama’s. I can safely confirm that MAMA’S IS BACK! This is incredible news for us that have been living in the area for years! I want to thank the new owner for bringing this institution back and filling the holes in our hearts!
